Default My first TLT chassis

Finally completed my TLT crawler. Chassis was designed and made by me on my kitchen counter using a jeweler's saw and files.

Took it out for a bit the other night, so it doesn't look so clean any more.

Specs:
65 turn lathe motor
locked Stampede transmission
JB welded TLT axles
Maxx sliders
Spektrum receiver
XRS speed control
Axial 2.2 beadlocks
Masher 2000
6-cell 3900 NiMh

On with the pics:

Nice handwork, that chassis looks sweet.

I appreciate the compliments! They are Revo shocks with Jato springs. The springs are slightly shorter than Revo springs so there is a little bit of droop going on.

When I read that, I have to admit I was cringing a little as I scrolled down the page.

For using simple hand tools, that looks damned impressive. Very nice work...

I can't even cut straight lines that nice. Amazing work on that chassis.

Thanks! I find that my spur gear is a little loose and does not run true all the time. So, sometimes the gear hits the set screw on the pinion and chews the spur gear up a little. On my list of things to get is a set on axle extenders, but being in Canada it makes it a little more work to get them with our lovely customs system.

NIce work. I cant even draw lines on paper that good. I think something needs to be done with the pack. Probably is fine there but it just looks so buly I guess.

looks great..I wish I could make my own chassis..I would have to say its one of the nice newbi rigs to date..I would go with 2/3a cells for a 2.2 size rig alltho bender runs a sub c stick pack and he does geart..how thick is that chassis?

ya mine does that too, but I don't think its the spur gear. I think its because the gear doesn't always sit flush in the clutch assembly. I just tighten it all the way down and then try to straighten it by hand as much as possible.
