Default Spider Tuber, leave at 14???

Here is a tuber that I have been working on for my kid. Madscramber made me the chassis for a trade, turned out awesome! I added some nuts for panel mounting but that's pretty much it.
Right now I just built it with some links that I had laying around. Its right at 14". I just don't know if I want to leave it at that length or shorten it so that its comp legal. What do you guys think???

If your going to comps with this i would shorten it, from my experience 14" WB is the perfect wb.

I already have my 2.2 Hustler for comps. Its really just for my kid, I might drive it some but I'm sure it won't be much. I have some tires to make Jordans if I leave it at 14"

I think I am going to shorten it to 12.5" I might as well have a backup for comps.

I would make it 12.5" WB incase your kid ever decides to compete.

WOW ! That looks very good I like the panles, You are on the ball that was one quick build. I would shorten it up to 12.5 so you have some thing to compare to the Hustler. Let me know who it works on the rocks.

Thanks, will do. Most of the stuff was already put together, it was pulled off my J2 when I sold it to rtsnowman. I'm going to buy some new links this afternoon and it should be running tonight. I'm going to have to figure out what shocks will work best though. As of right now these are going to be too long if I set it up as a non droop rig. If the spring rate isn't bad I will probably just use tlt shocks.

I shortened it last night. Its down to 12 3/8" I want to get the extra 1/8" but I would probably need to buy new links for it so it won't happen soon. Danik and I ran through a pack on it this morning. It's really quite good. I need to tune the shocks a little still but its really very capable. I won't be trading in the Huster 2.2 although on certain courses I would probably run this. Here's a couple of pics of it.
