Default solid xc front axle

i saw this on the scale4x4 forum and i thought it might be an idea someone on here. they took a back axle like one under the pajero and added some steering stuff on them.

Pretty cool, now I'd like to know what he is doing to get power to the front axle, since the pajero uses a gear driven by the motor to drive the differential in the front.

Toyofast and all the ORCRC will probably take notice.

Pretty cool. Making dogbones on a hand drill with an air grinder...

I wonder if it's worth it though. TLT axles are pretty cheap.

I thought the whole point of the XC thing was to make these Stock Non-Crawler Trucks, go places that wouldn't be thought Possible. That's what makes these trucks fun in my opinion at least.

He plans on making an aluminum frame and using a new tranny.

He already broke the knuckles off though :(

The only "scale" like RC's that I'd consider doing a SAS on would be either the Kyosho 4Runner or Kyosho Pathfinder(same chassis layout). These rigs would be prime rigs to do a proper SAS as they'd still look scale. But finding one is the hard part

Here is an kinda old article on the 4Runner rig(June 1992):

I thought of doing that but can't find a source for all the parts. I don't want to buy two whole kits just to get the axles!
