| Bent Pinion Shaft
Has anyone every bent the shaft that comes out of the pinion gear......I put in the new RCP ring and pinions, and after looking at the front one after a run i saw that it was bent massivly.........IDK i have never done this with a stock tamiya one, just wanted to know if i was the only one?

i wasnt even running it hard.....i am using a rc4wd tranny, tlt axles....bm9 brushless....yea IDK how it happened....must be a defect

Kyle, I still need to see this thing, wow. Course you know how my R+P situation is at the moment... were you able to get it out of the axle housing to put a stock replacement in for right now?

I doubt it was a defect, it wouldn't have installed if it were bent from the start. I bet you fell hard onto the shaft, like a tumble where you hit a rock with the driveline.

| That is what I am thinking. A good rolling tumble can generate a lot of speed, and a rock at just the right place could put all of that force right onto the pinion shaft. I had it happen to me once, I couldn't get the pinion out so the case and bearings were trash too.
