Default wanting R-2 to get neutral

just installing my new r-2 w/disconnect. is there a way to slip it into neutral on the rear drive line with out any high tech gadgets. i'm running a tq3 with a toggle that i was a using for rear steer NOW GONE:-(. and a hi tech 645mg servo. if you were to center the servo and always have to flip a switchto engage the servo it would eat your battery life right? thanks for help

If you can adjust the end points on the TQ3 3rd channel then you won't eat the battery life or the servo.

it would probably take some getting used to but you could get rid of the toggle swithc and make the 3rd channel proportional. here is a link to a post DoubleJ made about how to make the 3rd channel proprotional...then you could just turn the dial all the way to disconect and lock and only part way to disconect and free wheel, then back for 4wd....when I install a R2D this is what I was thinking of doing anyway. if you do it and it works post up so we know it works.
