| Axle question
what would cause the alxe to bind up going in reverse? going forward I dont have any problems but the rear axle is not turning backward freely. it will run in revers but I have finally fix my rear disconnect and now when I try to back up with the dig open it binds up and wont move. the angle on the dive shaft looks ok. I have recently replaced the pinion now I wonder if I need to replace the other gear. any ideas? |

It could be a ring and pinion meshing issue, but I would take the disconnect driveshaft off the pinion and spin the tires forward and reverse. If the wheels freely spin, I would look closer at your disconnect driveshaft to see if something is hanging on it.

I finally took it apart last night and the bushing had worn out and was letting the pinion move around to much.
