the full juggy leaf pack is not flexible at all infact with about 10 pounds on top of them they just start to flex so you have to use only a 1 or 2 of the leafs depending on the weight/ size of you rig

i didnt read right, i thought you were gonna use a different shock/spring, and didnt read "Instead of"

It should be a nice scale look, but for crawlin, that isnt the best

Yeah, there was a TLT from the ORCRC guys running leafs. Try searching for flatbed toyota. I know its a flatbed something. King Cobra is running similar springs in his 1:6 scale rig, and it has no flex, even with all the weight. So, maybe run a single leaf, or maybe two, like was said.

Oh and sigp232 has a rig with leafs. You can search for his post here, and he's got a more thorough posting on scale4x4.

Yeah those springs are wicked hard. Maybe using 2 of them in some combination like top and middle or top and bottom spring but then you have to watch out on torque twist. I S'ed a set of mine in the rear before adding traction bars to tame the axle wrap.

i figured that the weight of the springs would be way to much and did plan on using just the main spring or a combination

that forum is the reason i desided to go for the scale look or at least something close to it
this is one of the threads that got me thinking
