Default nooby 2nd tuber attempt

My first attempt was pretty goo but after messing with it for a couple months I figured it could be improved on, it had alot of torque twist and no adjustment in suspention. So after a wile this is what I came up with, now I have plenty of adjustment and I'm pretty happy with for now . Wheelbase is 15 3/4, 65t, R2 tranny, moab XL's, moped V16, JP's alum. knuckles up front, and rear is locked out. I do have plans to move batters to the knuckles I just need to find some cells. I'm also thinking of dropping to a 45t, I like wheel speed . Heres some pics, tell me what you think. Thanx.

Looks good man. What did you do to eliminate torque twist?

The R2 seems to hold up pretty good so far, I'v been through one set of gears already but they were already stripped when I got the tranny. Only thing I don't like is it is super slow and I need wheel speed.

If you can see where my links are mounted the mounts have tons of adjustment I probly have 20 holes to move them around. I tried to keep my shocks as vertical as possible to, thats why I had to break down and buy the link mounts for the shocks. It seems to do pretty good so far.

Thnax for the input guys.

Okay, thanks.

So, you stripped the gears in the tranny?

Are you thinkin of using a 55t lathe motor?

Are you thinkin of changing the pinion gear?

Let me know....., thanks, very helpful info!

The gears were stripped when I got the tranny from a buddy but we turned the gears around and ran them for about 3 more months with no problems then they stripped again. I put a 35t on last night I'll let you know how that goes. Think I'm running an 8t on the pinion.

Before my TXT I had a TLT with a pede tranny and a stock TLT motor, it was too fast. The R2's are just geared to low for a 65t and 7 inch tall tires. IMO.

For me a 75T Lathe on my R2 was to slow. But again, I personaly prefer lower gearing with gobs of torque.

Yea a 12 or 13t pinion would probly speed it up some. Theres really not a huge amount of diff between my 65t and the 35t, if I changed the pinion I would probly notice more.

so you think the change in wheel speed is mainly noticed only changing pinion then?

thanks.
