| My New(old) TXT!!! lots-o-pics
Well after redoing my Clod, Jugg 2, and TLT I've decided to build my old TXT into a rockcrawler too. I love what Bender ,RCKJeep, and RCAlloys have done with theirs and I've studied them well. All the standard stuff, cut chassis, chopped trans, REVOs, you know the basics. I started by stripping all the blue alloy hop-up parts off that I wouldn't need and E-bayed them. I used the funds to buy some BFTs w/IMEX Pluto rims, threaded alloy shocks, REVOs, and some scap aluminium from the salvage yard. Here's a mock-up of the chassis After I figured out the lower link length and bracket placement, I began finishing the frt steering (thanks Bender). Here's the link/shock mounts w/behind axle steering mount. The tipped trans is one of my favs. Six bolts, undo the REVOs from the axles and out comes the trans and skidplate(thanks RCAlloys). I like my upper shock mounts but I think I'll have to move them forward to clear the battery and frt servo. Well back to the "Obsesser's Lounge" I've got about 40 holes to drill and tap. The battery/rx/esc tray and some body mounts are next, after I finish my TXT-Maxx wheel adapters. |

| Stats and pics w/body and wheels
After I finished cutting down my wheel adapters, I mounted up the wheels and layed the Pleazer on top and WOW!!!!!! I like how CSR cut RockMonkey's body. I'll cut it like that after paint. The rx/esc/battery tray went smoothly. I just mounted an old ESP battey tray to a couple of cross members. I will have to move my upper shock mount to clear a stick pack. The stats lok like this: WB 15 3/4" GC 5"!!! Track 15" 8 1/8" to the top of the frame rails The motor axle is at 6 3/4" thats 2" lower than stock!! |

Good looking work there, azvader! I love seeing guys do things like this! "all the basics" like you said, but you certainly put your own spin on things. The fab work looks clean too! The rotated tranny is a really, really good mod. Mine comes out with 2 bolts! 4 bolts and my entire axle assembly comes right out. Now we need pics of the truck on the rocks, where they belong!!!

| Looks awesome man! Mitch was talking to me last night about this thing, I gotta see it! Make sure and bring it to the event at D&D on the 5th. Also, can you make it Monday to Papago? I wish I could get my TXT done in time, but still waiting on a few key elements. Once again, great job! You're definitely a "hacksaw/file" master Or, at least that's what I'm told that you use. -Rich |

| Stinger
Here's a stinger I bent up for my old Jugg 2 chassis that didn't make it off the old chassis to the new one. LIKE A GLOVE !!! I had to move the shock mounts forward and ditch the lower brace. |

| Body mounts
I made these body mounts a few days ago but haven't had time to post pics til now. Here's the fronts And the rear I was going to make them both like the front until I broke my tap 3/4 of the way through to rear mount. I saw Bender's rear mount and copied it, works GREAT. I still haven't decided how to paint my Pleazer yet so I used a recycled body. Here's how the body looks. Not too bad considering we crawled ON it at D&D a month ago!! The grill had been cut out so a hard plastic stock one would fit. But it was old school bowtie and I E-bayed it. Some lexan scrap, grill decal, and a couple of Hornet KCs later, new crawler grill. |

Whoa, super looking parts you've invented there. I see our F/X truck must have been an inspiration for you. That center skid/trans mount piece........very cool and familar Entire set up looks very nice and well thought out. Is nice to see all them hours I put into my truck was worth something. Really diggin' those link mount brackets and the servo mount, very ingenious.

| Thanks!!!! and more pics
First off I'd like to say thanks to Bill and Ken. I appeciate the feedback. Ken you'll have to let me know how the servo/link mounts worked. Bill your F/X truck has inspired many of us including myself. I got the weights in my BFTs and went out to Papago today. FUN, FUN, FUN !!!! I had some trouble with the BFTs by Hole-in-the-Rock but found traction on these rocks 50yrds to the north. |

The servo mount and links work awesome. I havent mounted the rear ones yet because I am trying to resolve my rear servo mount. (Wink Wink.. Nudge Nudge) The fit an finish is really awesome on the ones I have installed. I will post a pic this weekend.
