Default Center Tranny Suggestions?

I discovered this site some months ago, and have been really impressed with some of the builds I have seen, especially in this thread since I have always been fond of the Juggernaut/TXT platform.

I my parts boxes, I have two complete Jugg 2 axles, Jugg 2 Rims, newly acquired Proline Giant Trac tires (I found these yesterday, NIP, at a local hobby shop). What I am missing is a center tranny. I would like to use something a little different than the usual Jugg or E-Maxx setup. Something small, compact yet reliable.

Has anyone used alternate center trannies? If so, what were they and how did well (or not) did they perform?

Thanks!

For a fullsized crawler the TXT and E-maxx trannies are the strongest, I'm not sure a Stampede tranny, or one similar to it, would be strong enough.

stock trannys the way to go... pretty stong, alot of us have shaved them down and rotated them to lower the center of gravity and provide more gound clearance... [IMG][/IMG]
