| My SW2 14'r.
I have been working on my TXT since early May, and this is the third rendition of it. I have only been driving this for a few weeks now, and this is quite possibly my favorite rig. I've had a 2.2 clod, comp TLT, Super class TXT, and now this. A big thanks goes out to Bender and Sparky for all the help. Sparky's rig is what inspired to me build this. Here is what is currently on it: TXT axles locked with JB Weld and packed with lead weights SW2 chassis widened to 3" 14" WB 60-40 setup Ofna 9.5 buggy rear shocks HPI 6-spoke wheels narrowed to 1" Proline Maxx Mashers with narrowed foam MTPA BTA steering with 2 645's RC4WD carbon fiber upper link braces Pede tranny locked and trimmed 2.4 Maxx driveshafts 65t Lathe 12t pinion and 89t spur Super Rooster TQ3 modded for rear steer TLT body posts sleeved in aluminum Proline CJ8 body with craptastic paint (will be repainted soon) Heydco adapters (soon to be the narrower, RCGuy adapters) If you want any other pics or info, just ask. This rigs drives so nice, it is ridiculous. I would strongly recommend that you build at least one rig like this. For the full build up and more pictures, check Here. Onto the pics. First, the build up. And now the action pics. |

Thanks, I have been working on this just about non-stop since I got the chassis from you. From here on out, I am only making small changes.

I think my 14'r is my favorite rig too. Something about the tire size, and the wheelbase, it's fun. Nice truck. I agree, narrower wheel adapters. |

Sweet rig. I have seen Sparky's and it works awesome, I'm sure yours works just as good. The body looks good in the pics. I want to do a 14'r too. |

Thanks for the word guys, I appreciate it. I have inspired two other people in my crawling club to build one of these. I'm lookign forward to seeing your rig Sparky. If it's anything like the older version, it will kick butt.

I am one of the guys. I am really amazed at how well this rig works...and that 14" wheelbase keeps everything very scale looking... Nice work Steve!!! | |

Just a small, potential update. I am trying to save up for a DX3 cause the tq3 blows midget balls. I'm also thinking about making the switch to a revolver and mamba maxx. I also need some better servos. The 645's are stripping left and right. I just stripped my second one in about 2 runs. Same gear as the first one too. Any suggestions? It needs to have at least 160oz's of torque, under $80, and it would be a bonus if it fits Hitec aluminum servo horns. I heard about these, and apparantly people have really good luck with em. What do you think? The price is definatly right.

I was able to get a few more hours today on this. I can't believe what it'll climb. Ask the fellows at NERCC. It will do everything a torsion TLT can, only better, and wil even do quite a bit of the what the supers can do. However,I decided it was time for some changes. First up, is a DX3 radio. The TQ3 is crap and I have never stopped complaining about it. Next, I will be making the switch to a mamba BL motor. While the lathe works great, sometimes in a tight spot, it'll just bind and stop. I s'pose this'll save my tranny, but it gets frustrating. Eventually I will strip the paint and go with a simple white color.

To be honest, I have no idea. I think the fronts are a little under 5" and the rears are around 6"
