Default Pinion come's off

Hi

When i go rock crawling and get my wheel stuck.i apply a little bit more throttle ond and my motor pinions come lose.


Can somebody help me out?



Any info give would be appreciated

It skips contact with the spur? Or it slides in the plane of the motor face?

No the pinion is attached to a gd600 which go's to the spur gear. that is the one that come's off

Sounds like your set screw is coming loose. Only two things to fix that....Locktite and a little elbow grease.

How about taking the file a flat suggestion one step futher.

Mark on the flat where the screw will sit then drill a hole through the GD600 shaft and fit one of the pins that come with the traxxas output yokes.

I would check to make sure the thread in the pinion is the same as the output yoke pin before drilling the shaft.

It's basically the same modification as you would do on a TLT axle pinion or Stampede gearbox output shaft

Thanks ian i will try the filing the output shaft down first if that doesn't work i will trying drilling it
