Default T4 trans in a TXT?

I was wondering if it's possible to get gearing low enough with a T4 trans to run with TXT axles in a 14r? I have a couple of trans I could use, but if the 3014 doesn't have enough power I would be running a 3025, and I don't trust that in the R2. I am pretty sure the T4 would be strong enough but, am not user about the gearing. with 2.6:1 internal reduction, 2:1 axle reduction, I would need about a 10:1 spur to pinion....does that make any sense and is it possible?

thanks

I'm running a pede tranny in my 14r and have had no problems. I think the tranny gear ratios are about the same.

It makes perfect sense to me since i have been debating doing the same thing with my txt. I run an R2, but even with just a 60t handwound lathe, the R2 is showing heavy signs of wear. The gears are nearly stripped, so i dont think the R2 stands a chance against a 3025. I thought about trying to add a gd600 or something custom infront of the T4 and reduce it further with a regular spur/pinion setup. I want to use a T4/B4 trans since its so small, and i have one, but it lacks the reduction. If the 4:1 axle gears that egressor does were easier to get, i would use them. Its the biggest drawback to building a txt axled rig.

ive been fighting with a similar setup in my txt.
i was running a txt trans into a xxxnt(4.1:1) t case with the alu diff gear from losi with either a 55t or a 27t stocker and kept stripping gears in the t case.
i used the nt trans because of the reduction and because its a nitro trans i thought it would stand up to the power. i was wrong!!

ended up moving the txt trans to the center of the chassis and running that with a 750 bruiser motor on 10 cells. best of both worlds enough torque to pull a wagon with me in it up hill and very decent wheel speed.
now im looking at revo and lst trannys for the t case then i might go back to a 540/550 sized motor.

but for now this is the hot ticket for my beast.

Thanks for the input guys! I guess the only real way to see if it's going to work for me is set it up and play with it. I might run a 3s or something to get the voltage up...hmmm. However if you were stripping gears in the xxx-nt trans, I don't know. I will only be running maxx size tires on this rig which will help out on the gearing a little.
