Default Wrangler Trail Riding

I was up in VA this week for work, and grabbed my Wrangler off the shelf before I headed out and threw it in my truck, "just in case" I found a good crawling spot. I ended up in the Shenandoah Mountains, and found this nice little spot down a hiking trail off one of the pull-offs on Skyline Drive.

The Wrangler isn't anything too special. It is an original Wrangler, mostly stock, with a Junfac skid plate, an Integy 65 turn motor, a Mamba Max ESC, RC4WD Cyclone wheels and RC4WD Prowler tires.

Unfortunately, I didn't bring a camera, but I did snap a few shots with my phone:

It definitely tucks up there, and it is actually surprising how little it rubs for how bad it looks... I'm not saying it doesn't rub, because it does, it just looks worse than it is. Plus I took pictures with the tires crammed up in the wheel wells on purpose. Gotta show the CC01 mad flex!

Why don't you do a little body lift?

Actually, I bought a new body for it, which I immediately hacked up to trim the fenders back, and remove the front bumper in front of the tires. I painted it Krylon Camo Tan, with the Camo Black top. I still have to do the detail work on it. At full articulation it only has very slight rubbing, but I will probably lift it about 1/4" or so to make sure it doesn't rub at all. Here's what it looks like so far:

Did some more work to my Wrangler. Got the scale details like mirrors, head lights, tail lights, and spare tire mounted. The tires still rub a hair, so I need to do a slight body lift, and then I think I will be done with this one. Nothing too crazy. Maybe a slower motor. Maybe some new shocks. Heck, what am I saying... it's a Jeep... it will never be done.
