Im gonn have to order 4-5 sets of those CVDs

rc_dirtslinger 01-20-2010 09:01 PM

I just ordered the steering kit since all you guys said it will improve on the slop. But I was also wondering if anyone has just tried the knuckles themselves to see if they also work out some of the slop also? Or will I be happy enough with just the steering kit? Don't really want to spend money on something that I reallly don't have too.

tpliquid 01-21-2010 06:00 PM

I say the steer kit will improve the slop alot. You will be able to see a difference

SMUDGEBUG 02-01-2010 10:37 PM

GPM Rocks !!!

Ordered 8 sets of steering. they shipped the afternoon of the 29th and arrived today 4 days from Hongkong to New Zealand ...... freakin awesom service to say the least. Installed one tonight and the difference is huge !

If your thinking of buying one of their steering kits then do so with confidence.

Clara and the GPM team are top notch and once my credit card recovers I will be buying some more upgrades from them "thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

Do you think we can get GPM to make for us an aluminum motor mount? I have the stock silvercan in mine and with both diffs locked, the motor gets really hot (even with a heatsink). An aluminum motor mount can help dissipate some heat and ensure proper gear mesh at all times :) Maybe we can even get them to use a sliding method so we can use pinions other than the 16T and 20T

i heard that ther wil come an alu motormount.. there is even a numer for it and estimated price

Don't buy it from FleaBay and give your money to GPM. The more we buy from them the more parts (new and old) they will make for the CC-01

For the 3 dollar price difference it's better to support the companies that support you.

I still have intense slop in my steering after installing the gpm kit. It's on a new cc01 by the way so nothing is blown out. Everything is good up top, but down in the lower regions it's slop city. Can't even drive in a straight line it's all over the place. I know some of it is coming from the stock links, but still lot's coming from somewhere else.

tpliquid 03-03-2010 01:13 PM

If anyone interested I got alot of these aluminum servo mounts made.

I have more stuff for the cc01 but need to sell these first then i can put out more upgrades.

Same here. Just intstalled my kit yesterday and the tires have about a 1/4"+ of play. What did I do wrong?
