Default my scaler

heres my new scaler i just got in the mail
its got stock motor its all stock realy sept for teh scale accessorys the tires and the body
body is a new bright toy body thats been carpeted im thinken of going to a land cruiser 40 body on it
diffs are locked its also got a owb that i am going to take out.... it throws the front into neutral when it spins backwards i think that would be rather annoying on the rocks... though it wont see much rock time being a trail truck
im gunna put ether a 45 or a 55 turn in it
body needs a lil paint in spots
part of the brick wall has been chopped off
im gunna werk on teh rear links too

should i chop more of the brick wall off?

I would first change out the steering for the new alum. kit that gpm is making, It will help alot. I like the use of the jeep body, May have to do that for my cc01. also a 55t motor may be a little fast still, may go with a 65 or 75 turn, I put a 85 turn in mine and still kinda fast! Just my 2 cents.

Great start

I agree on the motor specs.. i have a 55t with a 2-to-1 gear reduction and it still might be too fast. ill find out tom. if it doesnt rain..

It can be a little fast with the 55t. I've got a Fifty-Five in it and it probably does 10-12mph, which is scale 100-120mph, which is about good for a scaler, and with a good esc you'll have very fine throttle control still.

Fast is relative. Speed is proportionate. Too fast, just let off the throttle a bit!

Let me know if you want to get rid of that TJ body, I could use one for a upcomming project.

X2 I have a 55T & Novak Rooster Crawler ESC Motor set up on my CC01 and its the bee's knee's ! plenty of wheel speed and tons of low end torque! Go super slow or super fast! Best set up IMO
