Stock front shocks, work great, don't leak. In the rear I have some Losi shocks. Don't know the length but close to 3"ers. Both work great. I still don't even understand why anyone would swap out the stock shocks(in the front), unless you just want the looks. The stock Tamiya units work really well for this chassis. Change the oil and springs if needed. The rear... adding a slightly longer shock helps with droop, but that's about it. |

Running stock shocks without any need to change for performance. I would like a more scale look though, just have not found a suitable spring for the RC4WD shocks yet.

i wanted the scale look with my rc4wds, im sticking with 80mm because combined with the front shaving and the rear spacers its given me a great amount of lift

Stock shocks work fine. There is a link in a thread here to E-bay and there were some nice aluminum threaded shocks as hop-ups. **EDIT** Here it is... http://stores.ebay.com/Bargain-RC-TO...34Q2ec0Q2em322 Last edited by grimgard; 01-08-2010 at 09:29 AM. |

Front: 3" Gold aluminum duratrax shocks with a 1/4 inch spacer up top in the fender (and shaved some meat off the suspension arms for more droop) Rear: 4" Gold aluminum duratrax shocks. Raised the CG up a bit, so I may change their angle to bring the rear end back down. |

I bought some 3racing Losi MRC shocks which are really good for the back but on the front I have concerns as the MRC uses M2 size fixings not M3.

I've got TLT shocks on the rear and standards on the front of my Isuzu Mu. The fronts have a had a spacer added between the top mount and the body. The rears are mounted through the chassis as pictured. |
