Default RC4WD changes to the 1.55 steel beadlock

I just ordered a spare tire and wheel from RC4WD and they made some changes for the better to the 1.55 steel beadlocks. The center flat spot is now larger and the bolts are smaller to look more scale. They also machined the back plate to accept a 12mm hex. The first pic is a little misleading, the tire and rim are the same size, the camera makes the new one look bigger due to the fact that it is closer and the camera was so close.

Is the offset any different than the pin drive ones?

I wish I had the hex set instead of the old ones. Oh well. I am glad they changed it.

It doesn't appear to be but I could not find a hex before I mounted it up as a spare to check, maybe someone that has a newer set could answer this better.

They are hex mount only, the rear flange used to be milled to accept a pin, now it is milled to accept a hex.

It is still close enough for me, looks tons better than what I had on the back as a spare.
