LOL that's clasic! The good thing is I can buy there mounting system once it's out! I do not see any post holes so I would be interested on how its mounted.

I used velcro in the front and a tupperware tub turned upside down with vecro for the back. Works good!

Tamiya USA say's it's comming soon! lol! Just buy the shell and save the cash!

My Unimog has gotten some new parts from GPM, so far I got the Aluminum Transmission cover, lower rear shock mounts, and the new aluminum 4 link (it's still waiting to ship ) I'll post some pictures once the 4 link shows up from China.

It's taking to long for GPM to ship me my 4 link I ordered from them so I made my own to tied me over. I used some SCX-10 links I had laying around and some spacers. Seems to work well. I'll try GPM's if it ever gets here.

I ordered my parts black (transmission cover, lower rear shock mounts) so they do not look funny on my truck.

they look nice black, think Im gonna have to order some of those rear suspension mounts, support gpm and they might make us some more parts.

Though I think the links on the chassis rail would work better than how GPM does theres

Thanks. My only complaint with the SCX10 rails is that they are so long but then again they might work as sliders to help get up and over the rocks.

The rood thing about the rear lower shock mounts is that they give you a little more ride height that can be bad for side hilling and good for belly clearence.

I'll have to test it out and see what works best.

from the side pic it looks like the driveshaft is on a similar angle to the links, with shorter links you would be sliding on the driveshaft anyway?

Well after some tinkering I wanted to try my original Wrangler body and it seems to work better than the Unimog with the new link set up. I think it's because it is a heavier body. Anyways Here are some pictures.

PS. I just got an email from GPM (Clara) and the 4 link will not be ready for shipment untill 5/7/10 :(

I think it sits a little better and never fear I will be keeping the Unimog Body.

Here is my New Skid plate I made. Took some thin Aluminum and folded it 4 times to make it strong then attached it. Looks like it will do the job and hides the brick nicely.

My new 3 link (got the Idea from tHeo thread) it's an Axial 3 link with some Himotto steering links and rod ends. Works great!
