Default Lipos and the CC01

I have a whole bunch of 2s Lipos from my Slash. They are hard cased, same size as a 6 cell. Last time I had a CC01, I seem to remember that the battery slot was rounded...is it still? Has anyone found a way to square it out to accommodate a square, hard cased lipo? Am I dreaming the impossible?

I use zippy flightmax 4000mah 2s lipos. They are the square type with the bumps underneath. I had to do some trimming around where you would slide the battery in and underneath the electronics tray. Been working without problems so far.

What are the dimensions of the pack? My two most favorite r/c that I have owned were an original cc01 and the tamiya f150. Want to get back to my roots, but I want to keep the equipment I have.

Thanks in advance!

I use a 2s 4000mah round pack and it fits just. Using the holder it is a bit tight but that way it stops it from moving around. I have since sealed it in there for waterproofing and have had no issues.
