I have run a 35t, 45t and 55t and find that I like the 55t the most in this car. I usually use it for trail rides and as long at the gear cover is on real tight you can climb a ton of stuff without grinding.

I have a Novak 55T in mine. Lots of Klm's on it to. we drove 5 hours straight, though creek crossings, on the beach, dusty tracks. After a lot of use. she smoked. I have replaced it with a new one.
The 55T has speed and the torque to do rock crawls and chasers.
I did have a 75T in my old one. But from experience, that is to slow. For a CC-01 anyway.

I have a 55T with a 2.5 GRU and a 16T pinion. Its a little slow for my tastes but has gobs of torque I may change to a 20T pinion next time I have the gearcase apart.

I am running a 60T motor and using the losi night crawler esc. This combination works really good as the esc has neutral drag brake and instant reverse along with the torque coming from the motor which slows things done to a nice crawling pace but still have some wheel speed. If you go the Losi esc just make sure it is set on crawler mode.

I run a 60T on 2S with a 16T pinion and works great on trails.

I know JSSuper runs a 55t on 2s and likes it. I feel like mine has way more torque and just as much speed though.

I run mine with either a 55t on 3s or a 21.5 to 17.5 sensored bl on 2s. Perfect to keep the gears from blowing up!

Ok so my cc01 is for this new expedition class for utrcrc.com i put my Novak 18.5 on 2s and it's fast yet crawlable. so snow, loose dirt, mud and water crossing should be a breeze on Saturday if not a fxr and 65t on 3s
