Default CC-01 Leaf Spring brackets

Does anyone make a leaf bracket to use with the stock axle or will I need to run the RC4WD Beowulf axle if I want to run leafs?

Wow, no one? Guess I'll have to get out my 3D software and see what I can figure out. I'll probably just get the Beowulf axle so the leafs will bolt right on.

you would probably be one of the first to throw leafs on a CC.

interested to see what you come up with.

If you want leaf spring mounts and axle to spring mount why not just take some metal and fab some up? I would be interested in seeing how this works out.

I too will be intrested in what you come up with, then steal shamelessly!
I have mounted my Dodge quad cab body painted up to match my 1:1 and the leafs would complete the scaleness.

just drill a hole in the plastic axle case for a quick fab to mount the metal tab for the leafs

Well, I've been revisiting my CC-01 project now that I've got my XR10 sort of where I want it. I have leafs mounted but I want to wait until I get my bumpers on before I take pics. I don't think it will crawl worth a crap but so far it looks pretty cool. I ended up using some Tundra springs and TLT mounts and the backend is way stiff.

Disregard my last post. I've got a new idea that I think will work 100% better. I'm hoping to rebuild the back end by next weekend. I walked away from it tonight and checked out some leafed builds on here, then it hit me. Hopefully it will work.

Ok, here's what I wanted to do last night but decided to go to bed

I went back to slobin3d's build since he was running leafs and noticed that he used some Axial rod ends on his, that's when the lightbulb went off. It's a little rough now and I'll have to get the body mounted to check my ride height. I can add or remove spacers to get everything to work out if I have to. Here's what I threw together this morning quick.

Wow! Awesome job!! Great idea, and nice set-up. Please keep posting your pics as you progress. It will be interesting to see the finished product, and find out how well the leafs work for ya!!!

what's the benefit of leafs over a 4-link in the rear?

I am wondering the same thing and what is keeping the axle from moving from side to side?

I guess people want leafs only for scale realism, not for performance.

Yeah its all about the cool factor!!!!! and they can perform just as good as a 4-link setup.

I wondered if it was for performance or looks. But I couldn't think of any leaf sprung IFS 1:1 rigs. I guess there's like duramax's and some dodge trucks. Maybe ford explorers and and durangos. I guess there's more than I thought.

Awesome idea!!!!!!!!!!! You'd better put a patten on it or else someone is going to submit your idea to a large company and steal it. You should finish this in secret then suprise us all with a complete build. Way to inovate a nice rig!!!!
