Default Finally got my CC01!!!!

I finally got one in outstanding condition!! So far I bought a 55t lath motor and a 65t lath motor (gonna try each motor out), bought a rc4wd gear reduction unit, rooster esc, hitec 645 servo, made my own links using traxxas rod ends and sleeved the 8/32 all thread with brake line, ordered a gpm steering kit (hasnt come in yet) and I scored this fj cruiser body!! I also bought some honcho wheels and tires for it. Here are some pics!!

lucky you...nice rig...but I think the 1.9 flat irons tires are a little too big for a scale look...I'm searching for a good deal on some under 4" tires for fitting to my dreams CC-01

Never get tired of the FJ builds. Nice truck!
Have you installed the GRU with the high turn motors yet? How slow is it?
Stock the CC01 is geared so high- I'd love to slow it down some, but not so much that I can't do a mud bog or two!

I'm getting a winch trust me, wouldnt be a scaler without one. As for mods, dont really know, I've got alot of ideas floating around in my head for it. It may get put on the back burner seeing as that I still need to finish my 2.2 jk scaler due to the fact we have a local scaler comp coming up and I also have an XR10 on the way.

If your tires were smaller you could class 1 that bad boy... just put in a servo winch and cut off the front brick.

I comp my CC01 Brat and it does decent

I used to run flat irons on my CC01, but took em off only because they were 0.01 inches too large for class 1 scale comps

Basically they made the limit just under flat irons on purpose.
