Get some 2.2 wheels as the sand paddles for the 2.2's are very low profile so will work no problems. The only issue that may arise is that they are a wider than the 1.9's. These are the sand paddles I'm talking about: http://store.rc4wd.com/Intimidator-2...res_p_723.html |

Orrrr....you can use tamiya sand scorcher tyres. They are a small 1.55rim paddle. But is does come down to the type of sand you are running on. |

To put 2.2's on a cc01 is a fair whack of work. You'll need to chop the shit out the body, raise the suspension and majorly beef the drive train. If you are going to be running on a mix of sand you'd be better sticking to smaller dia, wider tyres, with a soft compound. |

Those tires look much like the ones used on the 1/1 car. I found a picture on Google Earth a few kilometers from Redcar beach that looks a lot like places in Sahara I´ve been to: http://www.panoramio.com/photo/18588145 We have quite similar (but smaller) places at the swedish west coast, and they are fun places to drive RC cars at. The sand and the salt makes for lenghty maintenance session tough. | |
