| 1.55 steel Landies w. Desert Kings!
I just fitted some RC4WD 1.55" Landies in raw steel finish (they'll rust!) with a set of Desert Kings. The FJ40 is looking great now. I know these tires won't have the bite of the 1.9" prowlers I had on previously, but on my very mild backyard trail, I think they'll be fine. They're currently installed without foams and with no venting. If I do end up installing the foams, I'll vent the wheels on the back side. The wheels tuck in nicely and have plenty of clearance around the hubs. Anyway, here are a few pics. First is a size comparison with Tamiya Hummer wheels/tires, FJ40 wheels with RC4WD Prowlers and the Landies w. Desert Kings. |

Yeah, I'm starting to feel a tad self conscious. I'd compile my posts into a single thread, given the opportunity to do so. I'm just gonna focus in building for a few days.

How about a little video? BTW: If anyone knows a less painful way to edit video than iMovie, let me know. http://youtu.be/_7qvPZNDwAc |

Looks great. I put the 1.55 Desert Kings on my TF2 and loved the look and crawling challenge. IMO, these tires didn't get enough attention with the scale crowd. |
