| Teu-104bk esc
I just got a brand new Jeep Wrangler CC-01 kit. The ESC was beeping because I didn't realize the red plug also had to be plugged into the receiver. Once I figured this out I plugged in everything and tried to run the truck. It goes forward, but reverse will not work. I programmed it multiple times and made sure reverse was enabled. It also no longer beeps. Any ideas? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 |

Check your throttle centering on the TX, if I remember correctly the esc won't reverse if it isn't perfect

Thanks. It's centered at 0 and still doesn't work. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 Last edited by JatoTheRipper; 08-24-2013 at 08:12 PM. |

Try it off from zero a little in each direction. Sometimes zero isn't true zero.

I don't have a BEC. Would that be causing the reverse issue?

I give up. Any recommendations for an inexpensive brushed ESC? Waterproof would also be nice. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2 Last edited by JatoTheRipper; 08-25-2013 at 04:07 PM. |

Losi has a esc with drag brake, lipo shutoff and water resistant. Less than 50 I believe. Comes stock in their crawlers and sc trucks.

What about this one? It's less than $10 (if you let it sit in your cart for a few minutes you will get the offer). HobbyKing X-Car 45A Brushed Car ESC (USA warehouse) |

The first time I plugged in the ESC I did not realize I had to plug the red connector into the receiver. The ESC kept beeping until I realized this. But even now when I take the red plug out of the receiver, the ESC will not beep. It doesn't even beep when I turn it on. I think the reverse and beeper circuits died for some reason. I popped off the case and didn't see anything noticeably burned, but I'm not electronics expert.

It has two modes - crawler and regular. It has a drag brake, but it's pretty harsh and it's not adjustable. The only difference in the regular mode is the lack of a drag brake. Instant reverse is still enabled. There are no brakes. I need to find something better. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

honestly the 104 is weird, it won't power my 55t axial can but it will move a stock tamiya can... I like the 104 too because it puts out 7.4v to the servos! To add to the oddity of the 104, I was using a 14/87 gear ratio! I'm now using some super old esc off an xtm xcellorator, with what I believe is a nightmare 2 motor I think it's a 35t. But I have added stand-up brushes and different bearings. The rotor inside is very small and segmented into 6 sections, 3 sets of 2. Even this was not able to reverse my ax10 but it did move it forward and my servo was amazing!

Is $68 too much???? If not, get CC's SV3. A bit more is a HH BR-XL. Even better
