Check your travel adjustment on the DX3R, I have both forward and reverse set to 150. If that's not it then reprogram the ESC per the manual.

Unless you got a special version the xcelorin does not have instant reverse. Its pause then reverse. Is that your problem or do you just have no wheel speed in reverse. I would install the software on your computer and check the settings in the ESC. I know you can change your reverse throttle limit with the desktop programmer. If it is just a delay from forward to reverse you can reverse the throttle channel on your radio and reverse motor rotation with the desktop programmer. Now you will have instant reverse just no instant forward. It is all but impossible to save a roll over with the pause before reverse. Hope this helps! |

I have 100 % reverse, it just seems slugish. And everything else is setup the way you said.

If you have the reverse profile set for "curve" instead "linear" and have some crazy curve programed into it, it will take a while to spool up. Not sure if that's that problem you're having. Set it back to default, send, and if all else fails, give Losi a call.

My sons Castle Sidewinder was doing the same, fast forward but sluggish in reverse. It was also VERY sensitive to throttle input. I flipped the wires on the motor....brushed 35t handwound. It just switched the sluggish feel to forward, reverse was fast then. Adjusted the throttle and reverse curves in the ESC and it's golden. | |

Hmmm X2 on the throttle curve all though I dont remember one for forward and reverse. Thought it just had a forward curve. Reverse your throttle channel so that pulling he trigger back is reverse and see what happens. When you did the intial setup on the esc was the rig going in the right direction or did you have to reverse something? What is your forward throttle limit set up at? Should be 0%. Sorry I wish I could help more but dont have my rig here to try things. |
