| first couple of runs
Out of the box mine had all of the parts on the truck with no floating parts or leaky shocks. Out of the box the worm gears were very dry so I completely packed them with some lithium grease Out of the box the 225mg servo did not quite fit like some others had a problem with, so i filed the chasis a tiny bit for a perfect fit. Out of the box the transmission was a bit sticky and dry so i put some grease in there too. Out of the box all of the set screws in drive shaft were a bit loose and had no locktite. That being said Out of the box the first two runs were great. I got 20 min. with a half charged battery and about 25 when it got dark tonight with another battery and it had plenty of juice left. Out of the box I have been running a 17t venom motor (for break in) with a 14t pinions and an fx-r. Also I use a 3s 1350 battery. this set up seems to be working very well. Out of the box the motor seems to be fairly cool and the pinions i can hardly tell they are warm. maybe when it is hotter outside this will change, but the truck did very well this evening!! I look forward to driving it more. |

it seemed like a good idea for some reason. i want to try a 35 , but I'm affraid that might be a bit slow with the 14t pinion. maybe with a 16t. Any thoughts?

Someone mentioned runnings a 27t arm in an adjustable can. that's what I'll try first. I only have 2 35t's & I'm not raiding the berg.

well blew the firs motor. it was the venom 17t. it was somewhat well deserved , but it made a lot of smoke an then shorted out. i knew it was hot. the axles seemed to be alright.
