| Tranny lube..
I hear 2 stories.... Some say lube the tranny and others say it effects the dig operation... Can i get some feeedback plz guys.

Rich says that you don't have to lube the gears but he said it doesn't hurt it. I can see it effecting dig operation if you use too much. Personally I wouldn't bother. If they were all metal gears, then yes, I'd lube 'em.

i put a small bit on the dig forks and slider shaft. other then that just a dab on the gears inside the case and nothing on the spur and slipper gears. no need to gob it in there. |

I just dabbed a tiny bit on the main shaft to eliminate the little friction of the disconnects. I did this before I found the bent "e" clip causing the non-shift. As stated before, Rich told me that it wouldn't hurt.

I only ask cause the guy I am getting it from has already lubed the tranny and diffs with mobil synthetic something.... My friend said he had to take all his lube out for the dig to operate right.

I used Dry Ice race lube on mine, just like I do in my B4's Stealth. Can't hurt and it doesn't attract dust like grease. Smooth as butter |
