Default Narrowest wheel hexes

What are the most narrow wheel hexes I can buy? Im running into a heck of a problem having enough thread on the axles to bolt the wheels onto. My DNA's get like 2-3 threads down with the lock nut and my axial wheels are the same. What option for narrower hexes are there?

The ones i have on the rear are from a Corrally on-road car. Mega expensive but someone may have a set that run on-road & may can hook ya up.
