| Night crawler cuts power to motor under bind?
So i've had some good fun with my night crawler and take it for what it is but..... The motor seems to cut out when all the tires are bound up. I'm sure this is some kind of safety measure to prevent parts flying but i'd rather be the judge of when to lift the throttle Any input is appriciated |

Safety measure? Weak motor is what it is. The worm gears are difficult to drive, a strong motor is needed. The included motor is probably giving up half of what its got to just drive the thing normally, so get it in a bind and it says no more. |

Okay, lol, i can see the comedy in ur responce. So does anybody know how many turns one of these motors in a stock night crawler is? Can you guys suggest a brand of motor to go with? I race 1:1 crawlers so i'm pretty retarde when it comes to these things. Again thankyou guys for ur input |

So after searching a bit i found that it has a 55t motor. I have a 25tooth pinion gear. Will going to a 35t or lower motor lower my top speed? Still looking for suggestions for a good replacement motor. Will i have to change the esc if i go to a brushless motor?

| I think that I would throw a good 35t, such as a Holmes Hobbies, and that should help alot. The stock speed control isn't really the best of equipment:-(. It is just a dynamite lipo ready esc. It will not handle a brushless at all. If I were to mod it, I would look at the Rooster or Goat from Novak. Both will take lipo, and handle a good motor.
