I received my LCC yesterday and went through the gears , greased them , and broke them in . Took tire off the rim and neither stick weights fit . Where are you guys puting the weights ? I have Losi and think Dubro weights . Neither fit into the rim inside the ridges . Looked at putting them on the inner side of wheel but won`t fit there as well . Appreciate any help . |

I melted fishing weights in a pan on the stove, then let it cool as a strip along the edge of the pan. (DO NOT reuse pan for food!!) I then worked the cooled lead with a hammer to achieve a uniform thickness and a width that would fit into the LCC wheel. Once complete with the "blacksmith" work, I formed the lead around the wheel then used black tape to tightly wrap around the lead. On the rear wheels I re-drilled 2 vent holes thru the lead that matched the openings in the wheel. I did the same with the front wheels, except I drilled 2 extra holes because the front wheels don't vent as well with 8oz of lead. I even balanced them with a prop balancer for my RC airplane....but I don't think that really matters. |

I used a spool of solid fishing lead. Bends around the wheel nicely.

Try finding some different size weights. You can try any auto service that changes tires. That is where i found mine. They should have all different sizes.

Most of the tire shops around here only have the steel weights which are to wide to fit in the wheel groove. If you can find the lead tire weights, they fit perfect. Rich |

The only weights I have seen fit the stock wheels are the associated ones and they are too much $$ for me. I ended up trimming the great plane's to fit.

I used stick on wheel weights inside the wheel. I used 1/2 oz weights broke them apart and squeezed them with a pare of pliers and thay fit right in. you can get 5 oz in that way and for more i just stacked the weights. |
