Question LCC Specific Battery Question

First post here but have been reading the boards for a long time...

I'm looking at the Holmes Hobbies 1300mah lipo.

Specs are:
3 cell specs
Battery Size (Inches) ..................................... 2.80 x 1.38 x 0.83
Battery Size (Millimeters) ........................................ 71 x 35 x 21
Battery Weight (Ounces) .................................................. ... 3.75
Battery Weight (Grams) .................................................. ....... 106

I've read that 69mm is about as long as you want to go in the stock battery tray (which I'm using for now). Will 71mm work ok though without hitting the front servo? Is there a better option for a 25C+ 3S that would fit the stock location? I looked at cheapbatterypacks.com at the Elite lipos but they don't have any in stock. Any ideas are welcome.

Thanks!

I have several of the Holmes 1300s and even when I used the stock battery tray there weren't any clearance issues.

I see those - at 80mm did they fit in the stock tray without issues?

Here's a couple of pics from a while back before I moved the ESC to the battery tray. The Holmes battery will clear a stock servo easily, I have a small bracket mounted to the back of my servo and it still cleared.

the elite 1700 fits the stock location perfectly fine. maybe a 1mm longer than the holmes. there is 3-4mm of clearance between the batt and servo on mine

It's good to have a tape measure for this hobby.

You can measure your wheelbase, ground clearance, amount of flex, track width...maybe even a battery compartment!

Haha yes, I know and I do usually. I won't have the LCC in front of me for a few days and was hoping to order the batteries before then.

Thanks for all of the input everyone.
