| trans gears....worth upgrading or leave alone?
Just started running a LCC. See lots of aftermarket trans gears in aluminum...are they really needed over stock gears?

I have ran mine for 7 months now with the original gears. The first month or 2 with 35T brushed motor and the rest with a 18.5T brushless motor and Goat 3s. The plastic seems to be holding up well.

I use the stainless spur gear. I got the mesh off just a bit and it wiped the stock plastic gear. Thought about going all stainless, but the others are holding up great. Get the spur.

X2 on ebay. They had the best price and free shipping. They have the best price on all the LCC aluminum upgrades too. I'd love to have the Losi brand aluminum stuff, but the price is just to much for me. I can get the HR stuff for a third less.
