Default 3s Goat w/o fan?

Novak recommends using the fan when running 3s on the Goat. Is anyone running 3s "without" the fan? What temps are you getting?
The fan makes the set-up so tall it's kind of a pain to mount in different places.
I've never run without it yet, just checking if anyone is braver than I?

Thanks.

I ran it that way for a while, and well in the end only had 2 blades with 1 more sorta attached. Not a big deal in winter, in summer I'd say you need it for sure.

Really it's not that tall, so just mount it and forget it.

I don't use it, but I run a 2S lipo pack, and I don't use an external BEC. The HiTec 7950 servo is likely drawing a lot from the internal BEC and this makes the controller fairly warm, around 120 degrees up to maybe ~140 last few times I've taken the temp after a run.
