Default Lcc trans. rebuild ?

I've put about everything brand new. the gears, plates, springs, and forks. The problem that I have is that it is really hard to turn now. Is there anything that I could have put back in wrong? thanks for the help.

Check the dig forks and make sure the E-clip's float when seated. Also make sure you didn't tighten down all the screws too tight. I like to just seat them where they stop then back them out about a 1/4 turn. This will make the case a little loose and not bind the gears.

Also if you stretched your dig springs this will create some drag too.

Hope this helps

Jay

I would think so. I have mine at 3/4" and I can feel a little drag from the dig forks riding on the dig plates. Not an issue while running the rocks though.

I got the tranny to free up some. I had the screws to tight. My springs are alittle more than a half inch. Does stretching the springs make the trans. more noisy? it seems that this one has more noise than my other one. Thanks

You also might want to check and see how much play there is on the dig forks i rebuilt mine and the forks had to much play wich cause the dig plates to bind on the dig plate shaft that runs through the middle of them. What I did to fix mine is to shim those forks with some really thin aluminum this cause's the forks to be perfectly square with the fork shaft and now mine is smooth as butter.

PM me if you have ?'s

make sure that the shaft that the arms to move the dig unit up and down is facing the right direction if u look closely one side is round and the other is shaved flat to allow for the dig to turn without binding on the shaft
