Default Night Crawler rear drive shaft grubs stripped

Ok what is the trick to getting these things out? I want to replace the rear worm. I was going to break out the drill and then I decided that I had to step away for moment. I tried heating it with a soldering iron, no good.

Thanks

If you mean trying to get the driveshaft out, I can leave my driveshafts in it when I pull my axles apart. I just unbolt the axle from the crawler then pull the driveshaft out of the tranny and the driveshaft is still attached to my axle and then I just pop her open.

Sorry I did not explain it well enough. I have already taken the axles apart and where the driveshaft attaches to the worm gear is my problem. I have a new set of worms that I would like to put in and the screws that go from the driveshaft to the worm gear are stripped out.

take a cutting wheel on a dremel and cut you a line to use a small flat head screw driver

You may try the next size hex wrench or the next size standard allen

Or torx. I saw somebody on here say that they glue an allen head in the screw and let it dry????

Worse case, drill it out and retap.
