They still get pretty warm though don't they?
I have a very funny memory of someone picking a Losi up and getting burned by the front shaft.

Never seen none of my losi's get more than a warm feeling never hot. If i were to guess i'd say 115~120. I do have a nice temp gun,i'll temp the moa and the shaft and see..Grease my friend

they come with some grease, its just not enough or the greatest grease for the worms. so you should get some and pack it in there

Drill a hole in the axle housing and use a set screw as a plug so you can ad grease regularly .

For grease , I have tried a few different brands and types . I found Silkolene RG2 to work the best while keeping the worms pretty cool . I can run for a couple of hours and never get hot .

you can try the red grease you have as its likely better than whats in the axles now. just check the temps often and see how it does, and every now and then to see how well the grease works you may want to take the axles apart to check wear. if everything looks good over time then you will likely be fine with your current grease
