My buddies over at ORCRC kept bugging me to post up pics of my Losi on the forum here. So here it is! lol Me and DaveC battle it out every week with our LCC's. Since he is going bodyless, I figured I would try to gain an advantage on him. Since he keeps kicking my ass Here is the extra scrap metal I took off my truck last week... Here is the replacement piece! Here it is mounted up at full droop At full compression Transmission SQUEEZED in! Upskirt shot New tires! Side by side with a Sedona Here it is ready to run minus the body and wheels 2 lbs 14.3 oz Feel free to ask questions and leave comments! TOM |

I like it. I'm still going to kick your ass, but I like it. Do your new tires have mange or something? Looks like they are missing some skin. You should have come out today, but I guess your girlfriend had other plans for you.

| Fully loaded it tips the scales at 5 lbs. 8 oz. A lot heavier than some of you Losi guys are running. But it works for me! I'm not a guy that chases after grams. Quote:
See ya this Sunday for sure though! I'll bring my snow shoes, lol! TOM

| The knuckles I bought from RCBros The link I made out of a scrap piece of metal. I think its the leg from one of those little rectangular BBQ grills. LoL Since I put the 20* axle C's on I'm getting some binding. So I'm thinking about re-designing the current setup. TOM |

Im running a strip of stick on weights all the way around the spacer rings on the wheels. Ended up being 5 1/2 ounces of added weight per wheel. The rig weighed in at 5 lbs 6 oz all ready to run! |

You can buy a similar setup at a hardware store and just use rit dye to make regular nylon black colored, or whatever color your body is... TOM

I re-did my steering a couple weeks ago with Lundford Ti links. I was pretty happy with it, but I was still colliding pretty hard on the rocks. At the last ORCRC comp I was chatting with William from RCBro's and he gave me a new steering link to try out. It's designed to work with RCBro's highsteer knuckles, and the Losi 20* axle C's. The link was really close to the servo mount, so I ended up having to take the dremel to my servo mount (I'm running a RCBro's low-profile version). I shaved off about 8mm, all the way into the screws that hold the servo mount on. My hands were all covered in aluminum shavings so I didn't take any pics of the grinding/filing process. Here was the end result Full left turn Full right turn Top View Oh, and the new tires are working well. I just need to give em good cleaning TOM |

You need a fast motor to get some speed with the LCC's. That and some 4s usually seems to help. Tom, we are aware of the front clearance and will address that on the next batch. Do you have any toe-out with the link, Dave had a good amount on his, looks like I may have hit the wrong keys for the final dimensions. Also, hows the strength seem to be? Thanks again for trying the link for me. |
