Default 13.5t for lnc???????

Hello everyone I'm new to rock crawling & just got a lnc and was looking at upgrading the motor & esc was thinking of the tekin 13.5t and rs pro or does anyone else have any other ideas??? I understand it should be a sensored setup so looks like castle creations 3800kv would be out or could you use the sidewinder sct with the 3800kv???? I'm just looking for more power and room to play as I'm just getting into it. also would like to know what pinions would work with those combos? I've already played with the suspension and have found a big diff in just that alone lol. I know I'm going to hear do a search & I have just want some more knowledge on the matter or what other choices can be had with motors less then 17.5t. hope I'm thinking the wrong way with the worm gears like I said new to it & figured I'd ask my questions instead of spending hours tring to find the answer lol.

I ran a hobbyking 13.5t sensored in my lnc. On 2s I ran about a 18t pinon and on 3s I would go around 16 or 15t. I had very good luck and really liked the setup. The lnc has such low gearing that I think the 13.5t was a great match and it never got hot. Only thing is you have to watch your gearing so you dont eat your worm gears.

Default My opinion

Hey if you check out the for sale listing forum you can find a almost new LCC tranny so you can run dig too. Plus I saw a few ESC's and used motors in there for sale too. The Mamba Max pro would be a good choice because it can run on any Lipo up to a 6s { WOW } thats what I said. Anyway you should at least go with 3s lipos {1300 mAh}with a brush-less system . I am also positive you can find some good upgrades for your LNC in that forum too. Shocks , wheels ect. You will want motors like a 21.5 / 18.5 / 17.5 for brush-less. Rotor sizes between 13.5/13.0/ 12.5 . The larger the rotor the more low end torque you'll get. On the other hand smaller the rotor the faster the wheel speed. Pinions : 12/ 13 / 14 /15 should be a good collection to keep on hand. The Novak goat 3s / Tekin RS / Mamba max pro/ or Losi xcelorin are all good ESC's to read up on , Novak, Losi, Tekin, are all good motors to use too. Good Luck and keep us posted on what you select. Feel free to ask any questions you may come up with as well. Your at the right place for great help.
