It is quite possibly the easiest thing you will ever do... bend them by hand. Slowly just crease it and it will suck in just like that.

x2 on where your located, diggin the hills.

good looking LNC

Cool

Thanks for the kind words guys! Yes I just bent them in by hand.

This spot is at Lime Ridge Open Space. It is ton of fun. I was crawling around and came around the back of a rock and ran into a five foot rattler!!! First one I saw out there. Pretty crazy.!

New pics will come soon!

hahah well the truck's new name is Snakebite.

Haven't named my pet snake yet. He must have a name for me though. "Weird one who runs away screaming"

hahahha

Hey Sik Boy I just wanted to let you know how helpful your post was on your LNC! It has helped me a ton so far. I am however scared of switching tires now due to the binding issue! Scared me.

I cut the foams and weighted the wheels the day I got it and it seems to be doing good.

I am planning on lowering my battery tray pretty quick here. Couldn't tell from your pic, but your battery doesn't sit on the motor does it?

Also, how did you measure what to cut, and what did you cut with?

Thanks brother!

Hey Killswitch! Those cliffs in the back are really deceiving! Not only are they super steep, but they are pretty much packed dirt that crumbles.. Every time you attack it you get stuck doing a burnout up the cliff.

Here is the big picture of where i crawl at.

Ryan, I end up cutting those bottoms off the car every time anyway. I took them off the Losi body.

Default Update: bug body and suspension adjustment

Hey guys,

Just finished painting my bug body. I love how it turned out! Painted it black on bottom and black on top too so i get that matte black look. Hope it doesn't chip. Worst case scenario, i repaint it and hit it with that matte cover coat.

Also, i moved the rear shocks to the outer side of the axel. Did wonders for the body roll.

Unhappy

So I went to the hobby store today... ( you know how its going to end)

and I bought some stuff!

I got a Castle BEC.

And I got HB Rovers!

Big size difference.

Has way more clearance. But can expect more rollovers because it raises the CG?

Sorry for the cliche picture

So now I have big rubbing issues. These mothers are so big they rub on both the springs, and the lower susp. arm. What should I do?

Is it that big of an issue if it rubs? I don't want extenders, or spend a buttload on wheels... Any ideas?

Dont worry about the rubbing. You can tune the suspension to lower it, but its all personal preference!

Ah! Thanks for the reply guys. i appreciate it. I played around bit with them. Very nice tires, great clearance. Rub isn't bad at all. No difference in performance.

Cutting the outside lugs of your Sedonas will help with rubbage you could always narrow your wheels by a 1/4 inch or so if you feel up to it nice looking rig

looks good dude!
Id start playing around with internal springs on the front shocks for cleance concerns, depending on your experience, could attempt making some trick lower links too. narrowing the wheels would help, but seriously buy another set and then start to cut ya know/! lol
Body looks good, lower it down some tho man, probually gonna have to trim the hood a bit once you do tho. my battery tray is right under the window sheild, i wanted as low as possible on the chassis so you can sneak under and around stuff!
Ha yea those tires are way bigger than the stockers.
Keep it up!

Default Wheel rub update

Hey so I was wondering how to fix the wheel rub issue when I got some Traxxas wheel extenders in the mail for a car I don't own anymore haha. Long shipping was my benifit? I guess!

Anyway, here is what it looks like.

Extends it about half in per side.

Had to modify the pin a bit. Was too long.

Has a wider stance now

And it doesn't rub lower susp link or the shock! Win win.

I will be @ hobbytown crawling course tonight. Ill report back after.

Default Rig update

Needed more weight in the front. Each weighing in a little under a pound and a quarter. Rig is up to 6.6 pounds.

I don't understand this one. The pin should be as long as possible and engage both sides of the hex. It looks like yours is only engaging one side?
