Default stock bead lock screw size?

I guess the weather/humidity got the best of my beadlock screws on my stock LCC wheels. I finally pulled the trigger to upgrade my comp claws with a set of sedonas'. As i went to remove the beadlocks, the majority of the screws holding the bead locks in place had rusted to the beadlock! So, i ended up rounding off or having to use an easy-out on about 15 of them!

Went to the LHS and they didn't have any in stock. He suggested trying automotive fastener. They were closed as well.

Anyone got any good leads on where to get them? I don't think i need to buy new wheels too since these are fine.

New bead lock screws

These are not stock, but they are a lot easier to work with.

I just don't have a tap that small; so i would have to buy that and the screws. If i have to do that, i might just get new wheels.

I finally pulled the trigger on a new set of dynamite tools. Wow, big difference in the bite and control these tools have on the small losi hardware. I was able to use many of the previously assumed ruined screws.

That's because Fastenal is a joke. We literally have a Fastenal wharehouse 3 doors down from our shop, and we still order from McMaster Carr every time. On the few times we have been in a bind and needed to get parts out the door that day I have walked over there looking for some hardware, and you hear this.... "Oh we don't stock any small metric stuff. But I can order it for you".

Try McMaster, you will find what you need there.

Dubro sells a drill and tap in 3mm for around $6. Most well stocked hobby shops have them in the airplane stuff. If you dont have a 3mm I'd advise picking one up. You will use it for sure, especially if you ever get an axial or any other brand crawler or scaler.

i hate to be "that guy" but i have searched all the sites mentioned and cannot find an allen head, screw in that size!

If someone can link me one i would greatly appreciate it. I have a LCC with three wheels right now and that doesn't crawl very well at all!

EDIT: i think i just found them: http://www.mcmaster.com/#socket-cap-screws/=b4uvzo

Yup, That's where you want to be. Also before you place your order maybe check out some of the other hardware on your rig that you may need to pick up as well. That way you save yourself from having to run to the hobby shop in hopes that they have what you need, and only pay shipping once.
