Default Throttle and Brake Curves (MMP)

So has anyone tired to build their own throttle cures with the MMP. I'd like to setup mine so there is alot of slow low down control and then ramps up as you get into the last part of the throttle range. I've tired a couple different convex, concave and liner stepped profiles but it seem like I end up with the initial section of the throw isn't enough to cause any movement.

Wish there was some better documentation on the curves. And I'm guessing the brake curve is reverse for the Crawlers?

Here is what I really have liked.

I keep it low at first to be able to be steady and smooth at take off. I take it high before the end of throttle to make sure I am getting everything it has.

Obviously there is not much middle ground for me. I am either crawling or getting it.

My throttle cure is just like Eriks except mine curves more in the center. With it like that I can creep really slow, have a good mid throttle, or jump gaps. I would post a pic but I'm at work :( I've tried a lot of diff curves and this is the best one.

hmmmmm... interesting. I just kept mine as a linear line so the more input i give it, the more power i get out of it. I may try your set-up Erik just for the fun of it. Are you using "cheat mode"?

I've been using cheat mode on mine for the past few weaks and wow it is awsome. I advance 30* at 16000 rpm and its like a turbo kicks in. You need to know your motors max rpm to help set it in cheat mode. You don't want to kick in at 25000 and your motor will only do 20000. I would give it a try.

Does the cheat mode only work with brushed motors?

It only works with a sensored brushless motor.

Yeah, I am using a 18.5t motor for the winter since batteries cannot handle a 11.5t motor in the cold. To me, cheat is a must on the 18.5t. I do 50* over 8500 RPM.

When I go back to my 11.5t in the summer I will probably take cheat off or take it lower.

HOLY SH!!!!TT ! I had no idea!

The only thing bad about Erik's settings above for me, was it would do a front indo because it stopped so fast from blasting over something.

You can also use negitive EXPO on your radio to do the same thing. Try around neg 50 on reverse side, and neg 30 on forward side. Best thing about expo is, you can adjust it anytime out on the rocks.

Mine is still in the build stage. I'm stoked to get it on the rocks. I am going to be running a Trinity D3 13.5 with the MMP. I'm anxious to see how this setup works. I run a lot of wheel speed in my rigs. I have to get it wired up so I can start testing some throttle curves. Just got a DX3R, so I'll have to give the expo settings a try.

I thought this might help a little.

So this video here is of my LCC running the ballistic brushless 18.5 with the MMP 1cell with a linear throttle curve (stock), Castle BEC on a 1300 mah 3S, 13T pinion. This is in my "indoor testing facility". The weather is always nice here

This video is same truck just have the cheat turned on and set at Erik Delux's settings. This is without HD gears or cromos or delux weights which all would give it even more!!

rock, landscape block, pieces of wood and pieces of rip-rap and a few smooth river rocks. It's good to know a landscaper.
