Default Bad Speed Controller on LNC?

So I was out playing with my Night Crawler today and out of the blue the throttle starts malfunctioning. I have no throttle control in forward or reverse until I'm at 100%. Anything less and the NC just jiggles. I can see the motor trying to do something but it doesn't have the power to even move. That is until the throttle reaches full and then it goes just fine. I checked the driveline and it spins freely (no binding). I'm guessing that I lost my speed controller. Do these symptoms seem like a speed controller issue?

The NC is only a month old and has about 6 hours of run time with a 6 cell nimh battery.

Thanks in advance...
Terry

open the case and check the wires heading up to the receiver, mine burnt the signal wire off and did similar. either that or email horizon hobby, they'll have a solution for you. they'll probably have you send it in for repair or replacement. not a fan of the controller anyway, so imo, may be time to think about upgrading.

I called Horizon and they said is sounded like a problem with the speed controller. They are sending a replacement at no cost since the rig has so few hours on it. My first call and happy with the customer service. Hopefully this takes care of the problem.

That sounds normal for Horizon, they're one of the best hobby companies to deal with wne it comes to warranty related issues, good luck with the new one!
