Default 7980

Anyone run a hitec 7980 yet on the eirtex moa brackets yet?

Been thinking about putting my 7955 as a deposit on a new 7980, but i'm abit concerned about it being wider

I can let you check the size with one of them from my super. Personally I would probably go with the 7950.

Alright, probably check at our comp here in what next weekend.

Well i'm fine with the 7955...its just out of warranty and i burnt it up a few times while it was in warranty...so far i haven't burnt up the replacement servo they sent me.

Don't you remember my shaking losi at that comp last year i believe, that was the second time i fried it. So i want something that can handle 300 oz without an heat issue, and give me 600+ if i want it. Does the 7950 run off 2s direct? I can't remember.

Don't know if it helps but I've got it in my std LCC setup. Fits fine.

I've got my 7980 on there... But that was with the mount I made, it didn't fit where my 7955 was so had to make a new mount, if you really want it on the moa mount then you might look at the 7950 or futaba have a new servo out I remember seeing Harley mention it

Cheers
Dan

Are you saying when your 7950 fried it was shaking violently? The reason I ask is because mine just started doing this tonight and all signs are pointing to the Hitec 7950 as the problem.

Any info. you could share would be much appreciated!

Yea one of the amplifiers (or something like that) was toast according to hitec when i sent it in for warranty.

But yea it was wiggling my wheels a good 10* back and forth, kinda scary. At the comp when i ran it we was all joking it was scared for life. Surprising that was one of the few comps i did good at. lol.
