| Floating shock mounts...increased droop
I just picked up some shock mounts to help stand my LNC shocks up more. I am going to have them pushed outward to run shocks more vertical by not using both mount holes, Im going to use the middle of the three holes in the rear of the arm and mount it to the outter most hole in the chassis meant for the stabilizing of the arm with the hole located midway on the arm. I am planning to stablize the arm by filing a groove in the top of the chassis right above the mounting hole to keep the arm from moving up and down. While thinking of this I saw it would be easy to file a longer groove so the srm could move forward and down to increase droop but not be able to move upward. Would this extra shock movement be a downfall or would it help by creating more droop? If this sound confusing I can snap a few pics and try to show what Im talking about. |

the floating part was just an ackward idea, I bought these arms from a member here and all I got were the arms, no braces, spacers or nuts and bolts so I was trying to make do with what I had and noticed it might work. I was thinking this would be similiar to the double shackle set up of a 1.1 where the shakles sit almost on top each other then unfold sort of to allow the tire to droop more. I wanted to bring the arms out further to further stand the shocks up and down, I read here somewhere that a more verticle shock setup was preferred so I was seeing how vertical is too much, Ill probably just do it the stock way after a buy a new COMPLETE set of shock arms and all that is needed to mount them. |

Who has the best price for a set of arms and are a trusted vendor or member? Also would scorpion lower links work on the LNC/LCC, just thinking it might be good because of the bend in the rears? |
