If you want quick and cheap, an E-Maxx or Revo motor will work well, not much in the way of wheel speed, but does work well for less than $25 with tax!

ive always liked novak motors (never used one of their crawler escs). i personally use the ballistic 17.5t but they make an 18.5t BL crawler motor which ive heard is right on the money for the Losi

Tekin or D3 17.5, MMP, 3s, 13T pinion. More "go" than I need, with smooth 'slow'.

Heard Novak motors are good, just no experience. Too scared of their ESCs.

+1 on not getting a novak esc. the Mamba max stays cool and is really tunable

Maybe a the stall is from the "worm bind". Read the tips and trip at the top of the forum and remove two shims from those worms. Get a 10t or 12t 48 pitch pinion for the motor. Get the most out of that stock motor. $2-6 investment.

not so nice side is the 55t is WICKED slow lol but at least i know.. i need to check into how to grease these axles and if there is a easy trick as im not sure how you do it.

fireball?? YUK..haha!

yeah the LCC/LNC needs a faster motor for sure, if you want cheap as possible go with an axial 20t silvercan from a wraith, or an HPI saturn 17t, they all work OK, but if you go spend the money (well worth it) go with the MMP and tekin 17.5 or novak motor.... they last forever too..

or if your like me, HH brxl, 7t puller or a 19t handwound pro

oh, and all on 3s no less

What pinion are ya runnin? I just traded for a lcc & had a 7t puller & old sidewinder sittin in the box...... slapped it in with a 16t pinion & has good torque but esc & motor are gettin warm on 3s and on 2s..... the motor temps are right at 160 on both.......

Slower but has wicked torque I also replaced the 20t pinion with a17t one.super slow but torquey has hell

The problem with the speed is the limitations of the ESC being able to only handle 2s. The LCC/LNCs are better suited to 3s. The 18.5 is a great motor, but you will be topping out the Timbuk2 before long.

Option, that ESC can go down to the Novak 13.5 crawler motor. You could change out the stator to the 13.5. Much cheaper than a whole new motor.

I know you just got it, but my suggestion is a Mamba Maw Pro with that motor. You will be solid.
