Awesome rigs! How do these axles hold up under long term use in a scaler? I have two SCX10 kits that I have robbed the axles from, and would love to try an "alternate" build with the remains. Worm drive seems like it could be tons of fun for the technical stuff. Maybe not so much on the long trail runs?

I use mine for scale comps. same axles for 3 years now. for long trail runs i run axial running gear. don't wanna waste the axles if i'm not comping with it.

I overgrease my axles and run the HD worms. Hav'nt had any issues on long distance trail runs. One of my rigs has the original HD gears and bearings I installed in 2009! Still going strong! I add grease through the modded port every few packs, then clean out and re-grease every winter. I have also run a few G6's with my Losi's. No problems at all! Seems the only part that fails me are the pins in the axles and driveshafts, so, I keep close tabs on them. I also spray all bearings and CVD's with WD-40 before running. BTW, all my Losi's run 17.5 or 13.5 motors on 4 to 6S. |

Thanks guys Quote:
I keep the axles full of grease and check the drivelines often. Other than that they are pretty bulletproof. HD gears are a must and I run 8.5 to 17.5 brushless on 3s. There is a lot of good information in this section that has been very helpful. These set ups are not for everyone so do some reading. Good luck and have fun. | |

We missed out on RMSN, both of my daughters would have killed to see your rigs (they comp LNCs with SOCO Rc Crawlers), can you post some chassis pics? They both want to turn theirs into class 2 rigs.
