Default LCC Cheapish Electronics?

Alright guys pulled this thing off the shelf and tossed it together tonight. Bought it used over a year ago never really put it together until now. In pretty decent shape just needs a few things here and there. Building a throw back fun rig.

Anyways on to the point of the thread, have a AE2 on 3s and 35t motor in it currently. Seems pretty sluggish trying to crawl anything wants to stall but axles and trans are well greased and spin freely.

Thought about a 21t 550 can motor but not sure on fit and if it would help enough. Is my best/only option brushless? and if so whats best bang for the buck. Wont be comping it at all just some rec wheeling. Also more interested in good crawling really not worried about speed beyond whats needed to crawl and bump up things.

Pic for attentions

I got Jr a 30t tekin motor but I haven't run it yet. However from what I've read brushless seems to be the choice of many. Have you tried changing your gear ratio?

I put a 20t pinion on there I was reading around and saw a couple ppl running that with success but I could try dropping down a few teeth see if it helps. Just spinning around on my floor the ESC was getting pretty warm.

That trans needs pinions in the teens - 12-18 teeth

For recreational brushless you could go through Hobby King for their 13.5 or 17.5 motors and get one of their esc's for it. Probably the cheapest way to go.

see my other thread, I'm running a Hobbywing setup with 16T pinion. Cheap motor/esc until I swap them to the kids rigs...no complaints.

I'd also upgrade those lower links. On my LNC 2.0...once I weighted the wheels and cut the foam for more grip, I started to bend those week plastic links bad.

This is just a pic of me playing around in the dining room...

I just tossed a 4s in and it helped but I dont think my esc will be real happy for long with it. Put a 15t pinion also and helped but still needs a bit more.

Also made some changes. Big Bores with rod end mod, Old Mayhems with Boss Claws figured they were fitting since they were first run on a LCC. Have a set of Cougars somewhere I still want to find.

And my old body this has been though hell and back with me many championships and a national win was going to hang it on the wall but it still has some use left in it.

I run a 13.5 brushless with a 12T pinion on 3s and it has no problems, oh and you can get a 120a esc from hobbywing for like 60 bucks too.
