I am a Tekin fanboy, so I run a Tekin RS and 13.5T motor. I have ran the Novak Ballistic Crawler 21.5T and 18.5T in the past, and I prefer the Redline 13.5T. This setup has good wheel speed for a Losi, and it does not run hot. Just an FYI, this is an older setup and is only a 2-pole system. I am not sure if there is any difference between a 2-pole and 4-pole system.

I had very good success with a Tekin RS and a Trinity D3 17.5 back in my day. If I were to run brushless in a Losi again I would prefer to go with a Reedy 13.5. They always felt a little smoother then Trinity to me and dont seem to get hot/warm as quick. ESC's though it was hands down Tekin for me. Small foot print and once they came out with the minimum drive setting for us they became smoother. |

i run castle esc's and use a variety of sensored brushless motors in 13.5 and 17.5 flavor.

It depends on what your looking to do...just bash or actually comp it.
